The sun symbol, and jet of flaming gas it contains, communicates both the nationality and business of the Japanese Oil Development Company, which specialises in the exploration, development and production of oil offshore Abu Dhabi. The simple but strong design was applied to machinery and hard hats, and from stationery to literature.
